8-Week On-Demand Mindfulness Course for Health & Wellbeing

This 8-week course is designed to promote your overall health and wellbeing, and will incorporate both general mindfulness and specific meditation techniques to help with managing stress, anxiety and pain, improve your focus and concentration, and boost vitality.

Over the 8 weeks we will explore different topics together, such as time pressure, stress or dealing with pain. Each week has a module which is comprised of different sessions, which you can watch at your leisure, but each module is designed to be watched on any given week. We then build on the themes in the following week.

Each week is supported by an audio meditation, and some weeks also have additional video content to help you. The whole course is accompanied by a workbook to help guide you, and to remind you of the homework that will help you to build habits for life. The suggested daily practice is around 25 minutes to get the most out of this course.

There is an accompanying text (Practical Zen for Health, Wealth and Mindfulness: Meditation and Mindfulness for Health, Wellbeing and More by Daizan Skinner) which the course follows, and you will need to source this from any good book retailer.

This course is suitable for you if you’re looking for an introduction to mindfulness and meditation or are looking for a way to deal with stress, build resilience and feel more in control.

Additional Information 

There is some light reading material which accompanies the course for you to read at home, (Practical Zen for Health, Wealth and Mindfulness: Meditation and Mindfulness for Health, Wellbeing and More by Daizan Skinner) and this will help you to consolidate your learning. In addition to the reading, every week more formal home-learning will be set, and it is essential that in order to get the maximum benefit from the course you commit to a daily 25 minute mindfulness practice, which will have been taught in class the previous week. There are also some other shorter practices which you will be encouraged to adopt over the duration of the course. These do not require a special time commitment.

This course is not suitable for you if you have been diagnosed with a serious psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia. If you are suffering from any other condition and are uncertain as to your suitability please contact me. If you are experiencing anxiety or depression this course can be extremely helpful.
